Wojtek Wieslawski | Professional Online Mastering & Remastering

Experience. Technology. Analog Sound.

About me: online mastering with a legacy

My name is Wojciech Wiesławski. For years, I worked as a chief mastering engineer at the world-known Hertz Studio (Hertz Recording Studio), shaping the sound of hundreds of albums and helping define the sonic character of countless rock and metal productions recognized internationally.

With my Online Mastering service, I bring that world-class sound to artists and labels worldwide. My approach combines technical precision with musical intuition. I specialize in both mastering new mixes and professional remastering — restoring older tracks and bringing them up to modern sonic standards without losing the spirit of the original.

Client satisfaction: Your vision comes first. To make sure the final master matches your expectations, two rounds of revisions are included in the service price. We work until it sounds right.

Quality trusted by major labels

For years, I have delivered material that meets strict Quality Control (QC) requirements for releases distributed on streaming platforms and on physical media. My work has been associated with labels such as:

Nuclear Blast

Metal Blade Records

Earache Records

Mystic Production

SP Records

Napalm Records

Season of Mist

Candlelight Records

Obscene Productions

Obliteration Records

Hybrid workflow and gear

I don’t compromise on quality. I work in a hybrid workflow, combining the best of two worlds:

Analog: warmth, saturation, and the “glue” of classic hardware that unites a mix.

Digital: surgical precision and repeatability required for modern delivery formats.

Selected tools in my mastering chain

API 5500 & 2500 – the definition of the legendary “American sound.”

SSL preamps (Solid State Logic) – classic British engineering for harmonic drive, presence, and console color.

Neve – fat, rich, weighted tone and authoritative low-end.

Smart Research – modern dynamics control and transient precision for dense arrangements.

Gyraf Audio – boutique tube character and noble color.

Specialized services

Apple Digital Masters (formerly MFiT)

I deliver High-Resolution masters optimized for Apple Music/iTunes standards, helping preserve fidelity and avoid distortion often caused by lossy encoding.

Vinyl mastering

Vinyl requires a specific technical approach. I offer dedicated mastering for vinyl pressing, focusing on dynamic range (no aggressive limiting) and frequency control to ensure reliable playback.

Option: On request, I can run a fully all-analogue mastering chain to preserve 100% of the vintage signal path.

Remastering

Do you have older recordings that sound quiet, flat, or outdated compared to modern releases? I provide professional remastering to revitalize your back catalog while respecting the original artistic intent.

How to prepare your mix for mastering

To achieve the best results, please follow these guidelines before uploading files.

1) File formats and resolution

Formats: WAV or AIFF (please do not send MP3).

Native resolution: export in the same sample rate/bit depth used during mixing (e.g., 48kHz/24-bit).

Disable limiters/maximizers on the master bus.Bus compressor: keep it only if it’s essential to the sound; if unsure, print two versions (with/without).Avoid clipping: no red lights on the main output. Aim for peaks around -3 dB to -6 dB.
Provide a clear tracklist with correct spelling for metadata/CD-Text.Let me know if you need specific fades, gapless playback, track spacing, or have ISRC codes.
Always include a stereo reference mix.Verify that the stems summed together match the reference mix before sending.
Check beginnings/ends so reverb/delay tails aren’t cut off.Listen on headphones for clicks/pops.Use clear file names (e.g., 01_SongTitle_Mix_v1.wav).
