The album “Prophet Elijah” is a groundbreaking release by Patriarkh (formerly known as Batushka), defining the band’s new identity at the intersection of black metal and Orthodox mysticism. The album was recorded in several studios (Tall Pine, Heinrich House, Wem Studio), which testifies to the complex production process involving choirs, an orchestra, and folk instruments.
However, the final touch (mixing and mastering) was added by Wojciech Wiesławski, which guarantees consistency with the leading Polish metal bands. The sound of the album balances between the rawness of extreme metal and a rich layer of choirs and traditional instruments, creating a dense, ritualistic atmosphere. This album sets new standards in the production of sacred metal music, celebrating darkness and Orthodox tradition in a modern way.
